Minakami Kogen Resort is located in the Northern mountains of Gunma prefecture. The town we are situated in, Minakami, is an outdoors sports paradise.

Just one and a half hours from Tokyo, Minakami has become an outdoor mecca offering some of the best powder snow and terrain in Southern Japan.

In the ski season we have ski in/out access and slopes ranging from beginner to advanced. The mountain also has snow tubing, kids snowmobiles, snow sculptures, and a special kids challenge course.

With an abundance of outdoor activities including snowmobile tours, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing　and back-country skiing tours, we are the perfect family or adventure base destination.

In the summer there are activities for everyone. For thrill seekers, there is exciting whitewater rafting, paragliding, beginner to extreme canyoning, the only bridge bungy jump in Japan and all-downhill mountain biking.

For those that want to relax, there is laid back river and lake fishing with Japanese char, rainbow trout and black bass within easy range. With some massive lakes close by, canoeing is also a great option. There is also horse-riding and many hiking trails within a stones throw leading to majestic views of the surrounding countryside.

For motorcycle enthusiasts the ride to and from here, and also around to Oze are a must while in Japan.
